Active listings: From December 1st, 2011 until February 29th, 2012, there have been 21 homes for sale in Santa Barbara listed in the MLS. The Upper Eastside is a diverse neighborhood, and the home prices reflect this, ranging from $377,900 for a two bedroom, two bathroom condo to $6,750,000 for a recently restored four bedroom, five bathroom historical home. There are four historically significant homes for sale in Santa Barbara in today’s update. The first is a 1910 home that has recently undergone an extensive five year restoration. The property is located at 333 Junipero Plaza, a very exclusive lane near the Mission, and includes a basement wine cellar that is said to have been a food storage room for the original Mission.
The second of the historically noteworthy homes for sale is a home known as “The Olives,” built around 1880 at 2121 Garden Street. Listed for $3,800,000, this four bedroom, six bathroom two-story craftsman includes over a half acre of land and boasts many updates and upgrades.
A chance to live in a “skyscraper” is rarely offered by listings in Santa Barbara, but our third feature promises just that. The seventh-floor penthouse of the historic Granada Theater, at 1216 State Street, is being offered at $2,950,000. The penthouse includes a secure elevator and view terrace from one of the tallest buildings in Santa Barbara, literally standing above all other homes for sale in Santa Barbara.
The fourth of the historically significant homes for sale in Santa Barbara was built in 1887 at the foot of the Riviera, at 1620 Grand Avenue. The four bedroom, five bathroom home includes and updated gourmet kitchen, six fireplaces and carefully manicured terraced gardens, listed for $2,895,000.
