Mission Canyon is a tranquil and beautiful piece of Santa Barbara and is known for being the home of The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and its nearness to Mission Santa Barbara. Highway 192 runs through Mission Canyon and is the secondary option for those wishing to avoid the freeway between Goleta and Carpinteria. Most homes in the area fall into two categories.
