San Roque is also built around two great schools, Hope and Peabody (charter school) which draws many young families to the area. While many neighborhoods are “stepping stones” for Santa Barbara buyers to buy a starter home and then “buy-up” into another neighborhood, we do not see that frequently in San Roque. More typically, a small San Roque home is purchased, and after falling in love with the area, if a family’s needs grow, they simply pursue a nice remodel or expansion of their current home. Over the past few decades, this has further added to the diverse array of beautiful architectural offers in this neighborhood.
